Terms of use
The agreement for using Space Factory for Confluence.
1. Who this is between
These terms are between Gold Standard Web and the organization that installs Space Factory for Confluence (the “app”) (“you”). By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you buy the app through the Atlassian Marketplace, the Atlassian Marketplace terms also apply.
2. What you may do
While your subscription is active (or while you’re within the free tier), you may use the app on the Confluence Cloud site it’s installed on, for your organization’s own work.
3. What you may not do
- Copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
- Use it to break the law or anyone’s rights.
- Try to get around licensing or usage limits.
4. Payment
Prices, billing and refunds are handled by Atlassian through the Marketplace. If your license lapses, the app stops creating spaces and accepting requests. Undo, clean-up and history keep working.
5. Your data
Your data stays yours. The app stores only what’s described in the Privacy policy, and only in Atlassian’s Forge storage — with one exception named there: a small record the app writes onto each space it creates, so our other apps can keep that space’s rules up to date. When you uninstall, Atlassian deletes that storage. For 21 days after, you can ask Atlassian to reconnect it if you reinstall. After that it’s gone for good. Spaces and pages the app created are your content and stay in Confluence.
6. Your responsibilities
You decide which templates exist, who may use them, who approves requests and whether undo may delete a space permanently. You’re responsible for the spaces your people create and for the permissions those spaces get. Use the preview, which tells you what will happen before it does.
7. Support and changes
We provide support as described on the Support page. We may update the app, and change or end features, with reasonable notice where we can.
8. No warranty
The app is provided “as is”. We work hard to make it reliable, but we don’t promise it will be error-free or always available. It depends on Atlassian’s platform, which we don’t control.
9. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100.
10. If you misuse the app
If someone makes a claim against us because you used the app against these terms or broke the law with it, you’ll cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim. We’ll tell you about the claim promptly and let you handle the defense.
11. Ending
You can stop at any time by uninstalling. We may end your access if you seriously break these terms. Spaces the app created stay in place after uninstall; undo anything you want removed first (see Undo and clean-up).
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version on this page with a new effective date, and for changes that matter, give at least 30 days’ notice on this page and in the app’s listing before they take effect. If you keep using the app after that, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree, uninstall.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Kenosha County, Wisconsin, unless the law where you are says otherwise.
